Hi my name is Tricia and I am new to this. I went through the orientation offered by Northwest Center for weight loss and went to my first appointment last fall. Unfortunately my insurance has denied me through 3 appeals. I am obtaining a new policy October 1. Here's my question, I was impressed with Dr. Oh but after researching his site found out he has only done approx. 10 duodenal switches. What is your opinion on this? I don't know of any other physicians. Thanks!

Run like the wind!!!!!!! (Also, read my profile.) I had initially chosen a doctor that had only done 4 RNYs - actually I would have been #4. Check out Dr. James Weber in Seattle. He's amazing. Michelle

wow, some Drs are pretty new to this. My Dr. has done over 700 of them, roux-en-y. I had mine done on July 26 and it was laparoscopic. Everything is pretty much healed up already. It was 4 hrs from where I live, but it was worth it for piece of mind. Dr. Stepen Tersigni or Coos Bay, OR. worked magic. Only 2 days in hospital and minimum pain. And to top it off, so far have lost 30 lbs. Jerry
