Any state workers with Community Health Plan of Washington???

Kim, there is currently no coverage for obesity surgery for state workers. However, I've heard that it will be covered next year. (Aetna covered it about six years ago... I snoozed, I looozed out.) We should be getting information about open enrollment and our options. This past year, it seems that coverage was standard - it was only the money and processes that were different. (Processes meaning referrals and co-pay upfront vs. not paying until after Uniform did their thing.) I work for DOC and live in the Hawk's Prairie area. Let's connect and make sure we share information. I think there will be a huge wave of people trying to get appointments with surgeons in the Olympia area starting January 1. (I want my appointment for 8 a.m. on the first!) Liz

Hi I am not a state worker but I do have Community Health Plan of Washington. I have been denied for a revision and without it I mat die. I had a JIB in 1975 and have been told it is necessary to get this fixed but the CHPW denied it. If you hear anything could you please let me know. Thank you, Charlotte
