New to Lakewood/Tacoma area

Hey everybody! I just have moved to the area and and looking to make a few connections with local people and support groups. I know there is a way to look that up on here and I will do it tonight but I just wanted to say hello. I am so happy that the local shopping here allows me to buy Power Crunch bars and Nectar Protein mixes right off the shelf. No more internet shopping/shipping for me! it is so nice to be in a bigger city like this although I miss Spokane a lot! I joined the Lakewood YMCA today and that will help a lot with meeting people and getting a little more active with my one and two year olds. I guess I'm just feeling a little alone as my in-laws (we are staying with) do not know about my surgery and so with a steady offering of white rice and veggies it is really hard (though sometimes humerous) to cope. Oh well, my stash of protein supplements is helping without causing too many waves with the family. Molly

Welcome to the WA board. I just looked over your profile. Your doing great. A friend of mine also went to Dr. A. She is a new person now. I have moved from WA. But, I made some wonderful friends while I was there. If your looking for great people, your in the right place. I may have moved, but my greatest support still comes from WA. Hat

Welcome! I live over closer to Bremerton. Where did you find power crunch bars and Nectar off a shelf. I am so sick of shipping costs.

I got them from Super supplements. They have stores all over the metro area. The Power Crunch selection was not the greatest but they had a lot if Nectars to chose from. I hate the shipping cost and wait too but Susan Maria's service is so good. I have to go with the cheaper route for now though! hugs, Molly
