Hello fellow Washingtonians!
I just moved to San Juan Island in February and am I in heaven! I jus****ned to introduce myself and say hello to all my fellow losers in this beautiful state.
I'm 1 year and 7 months p.o. and have lost 100 pounds. I have 30 more to go to reach my personal goal. Weight loss is now at a minimum, but that was expected. I am going to Curves 3x a week and am enjoying being active and ourdoorsy for the first time in 15 years. I love this lifestyle! God is good!
Welcome, Cathy!! I'm right in your neck of the woods on northern Whidbey Island. This is truly beautiful country, isn't it?!?!?! I've lived here since December of last year.
Just FYI, we've got a support group here in Oak Harbor if you're able to come over on the ferry for it. It's on the 2nd Monday of the month every month. This month, though we're moving it to Tuesday as graduation falls on the Monday. Let me know if you're interested and I can head you in the right direction!
Welcome to our beautiful state and congrats on your success. I live in Tacoma area but graduated from Anacortes High School in 1963. My husband and I spent 4 months on our boat up in the San Juans and Gulf Islands several summers ago. I wish I could live up there now.
I am scheduled for lap ryn on June 14. I am going to join Curves after my surgery.

Hi Cathy,
Welcome to Washington and to the San Juan Islands. As you can see, I live on Orcas - been here since 1972. Both of my kids were raised here. My daughter, my youngest, now 31 years old, was born at Island Hospital in Anacortes. We have always thought that it was a wonderful place to raise our kids. We've stayed here because we believe that the San Juans offer a bit of paradise.
Now that summer is just about here, you'll find a lot of outdoor things to do - hiking through the American and English camps, strolling the beaches while whale watching, bicycling with your family. You'll love it.
My physical activity right now consists mainly of walking which I do after work. I only go to the gym when the weather does not permit me to do my walking outside.
Cheers,
Cele
