WISH vs NWWLC
Hi all-
I'm a newbie! I had my first appt. at WISH on 5/9 and am due for my pre op on 7/6. With the whole chapter 11 thing, I'm getting nervous (I'm self pay). Has anyone gone to the Northwest Weight Loss Clinic (is that the right name?)? Just curious about the testing differences between the two clinics and what y'all thought of each. Can anyone recommend a surgeon at NWWLC?
TIA for any info!!

I went to both clinics and I thought both were terrable....wish was straight up rude to me and pushed me to do rny
nwwls the docs were great but their office staff were a nightmare....they refused to work with my insurance plus wanted me to pay for everything up front then they will submit to insurance and maybe get the money back...plus there aftercare is lousy as well
I ended up going to another surgeon down in federal way and he was the best by far and his office staff were wonderful as well and well worth the drive time
good luck
Thanks for the info. Jennifer! Can you share your surgeon's name with me, so I can call there too? Do you happen to know the fee there? I felt uncomfortable with the WISH staff, but was thinking maybe I was expecting too much. It was sort of like I was on an assembly line and it felt like everyone came in to talk to me because they had to and they seemed monotoned, to the point and left. Maybe it's just me. I want this done more than anything, but I would really like to feel comfortable. I've heard great things about my surgeon there, but I'm just not sure.
Thanks everyone!!

I went and saw dr montgomery at nwwls and I did think he was a good surgeon and my dad did work with him over at the everett clinic and I probably would have had the procedure done with him if it wasnt for his office staff....
my doc was dr oh....he is down over in federal way his no. is (253)275-6030 or go to www.ohtobethin.com. he has his seminars over at st frances hospital on fridays and also at other times if you contact his office. His office staff and him are a dream to work with. so nice and caring and they always remember me when i walk in. At nwwls the price was 16,000 where dr oh is 12,800 but I was the lucky one and got my insurance to pay for it but my mom is now going to him for her lap-band due to my experience with other surgeons and my luck with dr oh
hope this helps
Thank you both SO much! I will definitely be checking with both of them!! Are the pre-op tests usually the same no matter where you go? I have to do an ekg, pulmonary test, chest xray, blood work and stool samples.
I have one more question too. Sorry guys...how long did you have to wait from your first appt. to surgery? WISH is 10 weeks as you know.
Thanks again SO much!!
