Is anyone else upset about the new Wish Center commercial? When I saw it for the first time I was not happy with the scare tactic they are using to try and get people to have WLS. I believe that the reality is being overweight is terrible for your health. However, I believe that best approach to WLS is education not scaring you. Just wondering if anyone felt the same?

I totally agree! As a WISH Center "graduate," it is harder to convey to people how great the program is when they make commercials like that. Everyone I talked to at support group dislikes it, as well. Oh well, I'll just keep trying to portray a positive image of WLS!! -Chris

I think it stinks. It's manipulative. It's very dark, isn't it? Nancy

I saw these commercials too and thought they were horrible. I think they should be looking towards the positive and exciting people into coming and seeing them not scaring them. I think their advertisements stink and Im glad I didn't end up using them to have my surgery. I did go to their meeting and wasn't that impressed with the different people I met there. Just my two cents. Im having surgery in 2 weeks in Mexico and Dr Srikanth will be my follow-up doc for aftercare. Cindy

As a follow-up, the commercial stinks, but the program does not! It's great for my needs. I think we all need different things in this WLS journey, so I am glad that there are all kinds of programs out there. We all need to find the right "fit." So, if you're new and doing your research, don't let the new stupid commercial deter you from investigating the WISH Center. I've loved everything about the program. Thanks, Chris
