Hi Laura! 50 pounds never to be seen again is an amazing accomplishment! I love the wow moment and was ROFL at the thought of the pants falling to the floor. I have a 4 year old who's always coming up with some great one liners. This morning he pointed to my boobs and asked if those things where going to disappear like my tummy is. I think the question came up because I was in my jammies with no bra on and the boobs have deflated and now reside where the tummy used to be!!! BTW...the afro guy is cool! Julia

Thanks for the positive post, Julia! Name: Nancy Location: Edmonds Surgery: Open RNY Medial Surgery Date: 9/16/04 Height: 5'4" Starting Weight: 276 Today's Weight: 188 Total Loss So Far: 88 pounds (21 of that was preop) What's your latest Wow moment? Recently, there have been a few WOW moments in the bedroom (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) but those are best left unsaid. (The crown sighs.) A less interesting WOW moment -- well not so wow, but cool -- I had to move my wedding ring to my middle finger because it was falling off in the pool. Hugs to y'all, Nancy

Hi Nancy! 88 pounds is quite an amazing accomplishment! Sounds like there are some great wow moments happening in the bedrooms around here. It's amazing how these lost pounds can change things in the bedroom. I decided to temporarily replace my wedding ring with a big fake diamond one because I was paranoid about having my real one fall off. Aint shrinking great! Julia

A fake one is a great idea! An excise to shop and buy something! ;) Congrats on your WL, Julia!! I know you must feel dynamite. That's what I like the best -- how I feel. I feel good in clothes. I don't feel bad out of clothes. I feel energetic. I feel 10 years younger! I am coming out of my shell. I don't think I realized I was in a shell. I'm not a shy person at all, but I have been holed up inside my fat for a long time. I love crossing my legs. I remember at the first support group I attended I noticed all the postops crossing and recrossing their legs. I could tell the they just LOVED doing it. Now I do too! I am sooo happy for each of us! Hi Kimanne! I just love your picture, you're so pretty! Congratulations on your 62 pounds lost. I just love crossing my legs now, it makes me feel so lady like and girlie! Shopping is so much fun now because I never now what size I'm going to be. It's like getting a great surpise every time! Julia

Hi Everyone! Julia, thanks for the fresh start! I love this board, try to do as much as I can, and believe that all comments, good or bad, go to the greater good. Here's my stats: Name: Chris Surgery: Open RNY (my scar looks really good) Date: 10/7/04 Height: 5'5" Starting Weight: 281 Today's Weight: 223.5 Total loss so far: 57.5 lbs WOW Moments: Yesterday I spent the day cleaning out my closet. I tried on almost all of my clothes. So many of them had been sitting there for years because they didn't fit. Turns out, I filled 3 whole boxes of too-big clothes for my clothing exchange and am sending a huge box of nice stuff to my cousin. And I look good in my remaining clothes and need new ones. I also actually felt SEXY on New Year's Eve, with all the great comments from friends who hadn't seen me in a while. All in all, this is such a great, positive experience and I am so SO GLAD that I had this surgery. Thanks Everyone, Chris

Hi Chris! 57.5 pounds is wonder, you're really doing great! Isn't it great to go through your closet and realize that so many things no longer fit? I filled 3 boxes before the end of the year and donated them to Goodwill so I could get the tax write off. I could probably have come up with a whole truck load, but for now I have to take baby steps. I know that about 97% of what's in my closet is too big but my head still remembers all the other failed diet attemps and I can't seem to bring myself to get rid of everything. Congratulations on feeling sexy! And just think...things are going to get even better! Julia
