OT: Question from Alabama, of all places!
Hi everyone! I am on this list, only in Alabama. I'm a newbie and just sent off my papers to a surgeon to try to get WLS. Wish me luck! Our group is so awesome and so helpful and we just love each other to pieces.
So, I'm assuming you all are the same way we are.
I have a dilemma that, in the scheme of things, is not that big a deal, but if anyone has any information, I would appreciate so much!
I bought some Christmas cards from a wonderful artist in Seattle a few years ago. I got them on Ebay. Well, I decided I want some more if he still has them. However, he is no longer on Ebay and the phone number I had for him has been disconnected. It occurred to me that, since my Alabama group is so helpful, that maybe someone in the Washington group might know this artist or have heard of him.
His name is Scott Smith, Rucus Studios, 3753 SW Austin St., Seattle WA 98126.
If you do know him, please email me. I would really appreciate it. I loved his Christmas cards and I can't find any others that even come close.
Happy Holidays to everyone there in Washington! And good luck with your WLS's! I am hoping beyond hope that mine will be approved because this is the end of the line for me. If this doesn't work, nothing's going to work.
Hugs from Alabama,
Joni
Hello,
Perhaps this will help you. I know that is a West Seattle address, but the reverse directory didn't find it. Then I did a google search for Rucus studio, and came up with the following link: http://www.rucusstudio.com/. It also mentions the artist's name -- Scott Smith. There are other websites which came up, as well. Based on the website information, he's now based in Michigan, and specializes in sculpture. The pieces depicted on his website are all very charming!
Good luck in finding your Christmas cards. Also, you'll be in my prayers for your surgery approval.
