Okay, when I was 21, that would have freaked me out to see that I was obese, but heck today, its a celebration!!!! Amazing how years change one's perspective...eh? I hope everyone has a HAPPY HAPPY TURKEY DAY! Eat slow, drink lots, and savor every tiny little bite, cuzzzzzzzzzzz we do not get very much of it! Hugs to all! Laura

Wow Sonya!!! You are doing fabulous! It seems strange to me to get so excited about these little milestones, but yet I cannot help it. I guess it really is like being "reborn". Congrats again on your "loss"!!!!! Laura

Isn't funny how number affect our lives. They can make you feel so good or so depressed. Congratulations on working the numbers the right way. I moved to just overweight a few pounds ago. Like you, I hadn't given it much thought to it. Then when I read your post, I started wondering where I was. Hat

What are your kids' ages? How'd they handle your surgery and recovery? Hugs and happy turkey day! Nan

Hi Nan! I know, I am the world's worst about the profile thing. I do not know where to start on it I guess. Here is a rundown on the kids: Alyssa - 17 1/2 Tessa - 14 1/2 Jessica - 13 Bethany - 12 (well almost, on Christmas day she will be 12) Hannah - 11 Brittany - 9 Samantha - 5 Kolbe - 2 (almost 3, on January 5th) Finally got a BOY YIPPY!!!! What are your children's ages ??? As far as surgery, my kids have been fabulous. They have helped out in every way that they possibly can, and been very understanding when I said no sleep overs or what not, as I did not feel well enough. They laugh at how much I eat, and do tend to remind me if I'm "picking" at things on the table, as they do not want me to get sick from eating that "one bite too much". I have one daughter (bethany) who actually has struggled with an eating disorder...she is terribly fearful of getting fat, which is ridiculous as she plays about 10 to 12 hours of soccer a week, and hardly eats. She weighs in at 72 pounds at 12 years old (not very big). She is getting somewhat better, so I try to just encourage eating healthy and let her know that she has to eat if she wants to grow. But, because of her, I almost did not get the surgery, as I did not want to make her think that I was obscessed with my weight...if that makes sense. Anyhoooooooooooooooooooo!!! I will work on my profile soon...I PWOMISE Laura
