Back Online!
Hi Everyone!!! I have missed all of you As some of you know, I moved.. and well... they finally got my home phone hooked up this week, so now I can have my internet back! Yay! There was some kind of wiring problem due to a fire next door several months ago. Needless to say, I've gone thru internet withdrawls!
Just a quick update on me... I had my four week checkup this week and lost 32lbs so far. I am doing very, very well I think. I seem to tolerate just about everything so far.. so I have no real complaints. I did however, make the mistake of eating rice last week and vomited for the first time. Oh well, trial and error is the name of the game I've missed all of you and look forward to being online more!!!
Goodnight and God Bless, have a great weekend! Mwauhhhhh

Dannnnnnnnn!!! Congrats on your weightloss! I am having a bit of the same problem. I seem to get enough fluids down... but my protein is about 15-20 grams too low. My nutrionist gave me a big bottle of liquid protein It tastes like a really bad Cherry Nyquil taste *ICK* I tried to mix it with a few things and I just can't camoflouge that yucky, mediciney taste. I'm glad your energy level is picking up, thats one of the benefits of getting enough protein! I guess I'll have to keep trying those protein drinks for now *lol* Well dear, I'm SOOO glad you're doing well, seems we are both doing tremendously! Yay for us! Have a super weekend and congratsssss again my surgery twin!

Dear Kimanne,
We're so glad you're back. I was quite saddened when Terry told me you ended up with no help for your move -- that was the pits. Anyway, sounds like you survived, and are doing VERY WELL with your post-op program.
Regarding the protein, all the protein stuff I purchased pre-op is sweet, and I don't want it. Last Saturday I asked my husband to go and get me some "plain" protein. GNC has a few different varieties, and the one he purchased has 17 grams of protein per scoop. I've been adding it to my soup or broth, and that works out for me. Just a suggestion.
Again, welcome back to us!
Take care girl,
Susan
Hi Kimanne!
Yes, you were missed! It is great to see your cheerfulness back online. Most of us have shrunk during that time, huh? I just passed the 5-week mark and I have lost 35 pounds. I had a slump last week and stayed around a 30-pound loss for several days. At first I was really bothered by it, but I just kept at it.
I have been able to tolerate everything, as well, except I truly hate protein shakes. I have not been able to even smell one for a while. I am trying to put non-fat dry milk powder in everything, because it adds protein. I am trying to talk myself into have an actual protein shake today. We'll see.
Welcome back, and have fun setting up your new place!
