Getting a bit nervous!!!

I have to admit, I am getting a bit nervous now with my date approaching. I seem to be so hungry now too! But I have to keep in mind the doctor won't do surgery if I have gained even one pound. I think the idea of having surgery on the 23rd with Thanksgiving only being two days away from that is making me hungry NOW! lol. I figure I will be in the hospital thanksgiving day! And what do you think they will bring me to eat then? Hmmmmm turkey and gravy with mashed potatoes? If they do I will shoot them... lol I know getting nervous is normal so I am not worried. Hi Christine, I am 3 weeks post op and went through exactly what you are going through. The only thing you will be offered on Thanksgiving comes in Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry! I had the "don't gain 1 pound or no surgery" thing hanging over my head too. It is hard to do when you want to eat everything in sight. I was so nervous and that only adds to the stress. I will be keeping you in my prayers! Is Dr. Leger your surgeon? If you need any info drop me a email!

Of course you are nervous. You'd be uncaring, insane, mentally unstable, etc., if you were not at this point!! I was scared to death but also knew I was doing the right thing for me, for my health, for my family, ... Good luck, God bless and don't even think about "food" in the hospital - I was on solid liquids (clear only) for the first two weeks and didn't even miss food at all!!
