Need help and encouragement!
THANK YOU!!! You *are* such an encouragement! I am so glad to be reminded, Hat. I remember your slower weeks. I felt bad that you felt bad, but was impressed with your numbers and WL!! I would be thrilled to lose 64 lbs in 12 weeks! It's nice to be reminded that that is a possibility even with these stalls. You're an inspiration!
I did measure this am, in efforts to console myself. There is a difference in the last two weeks.
I've been wanting to try swimming despite how much I dread a bathing suit! That's good advice.
Tell me, is your stricture all better?
I'll email you, shortly! My son has been nagging me to take some post-op pics. I feel it's too soon and I won't see a diff.
I will consider myself hugged and kissed and made to feel better! Thank you!
Thank you again, Hat. You're a doll!
Oh... and about the links. It's not hard once you understand it...
Here's a sample link.... place it at the top of the page ...
<a href="#linkname"&rt;clickable text</a&rt;
Explanation:
"<" ends the tag
the text inbetween and is the clickable text - the link you see on the page.
the closing tag does just that.
So then... place this where you want your link to go to....
It's imperative that the "#linkname" and the "linkname" are the exactly the same text or the link won't work. They also have to be unique meaning only one linkname.
To link outside your page it's a lot easier...
click here to go to google
OH requires the http:// part or it won't work.
The target="new" part says to open a new window.
Gee, I hope that wasn't too much.
Nan
ok... that did not work bcause the message boards filter out HTML.
I'm on my way out, but I will follow up again with you with correct instructions.
real quick... the boards filter out the less than and greater than signs and everything in between. so my sample links didn't show. in an attempt to trick it I used name code for the signs ( < ) which didn't work.
I'll email you later today with what it should really look like.
Sorry - I tried.
Nancy
Nan,
You're going to be fine!!! It'll all come out in the end, and you will succeed. No two ways about it. My two cents: are you drinking enough water? Eating enough protein? Varying your exercise enough? I've heard that protein shakes will give you a break-through if you are having trouble losing.
Your faith in God is very comforting to me as I go through this, and you are a testimony to me of God's love and His work in our lives. Leave it all up to Him, and don't be anxious about this. He's got great plans for you, and He wouldn't have sent you to the operating table for you NOT to lose weight and get healthy. He wants you alive and healthy for all the things He wants you to do! You remain in my prayers!
Your friend,
Chris
Thank you so very much, Chris, for your message. Thanks for the reminder that God is with me and will help. I forget sometimes.
I am struggling to get in more protein, but am making a better effort. I have doubled my daily average these last few days. I managed 43 grams yesterday, even with throwing up! So FUN ~ not! ;) My excerise is not yet routine - never on the same day and rarely the same activity. I only get in about 30-40 oz of water a day... how about you?
Thank you again, friend!
Nancy
