Anyone been approved recently by Group Health?

Just curious if anyone has been recently approved by Group Health without the 6-month diet history... Dr. Bock's office has sent in my request for surgery without the 6-month diet history and I am wondering if they should have waited until the new rule (no 6-month history required) starts in January. I have the feeling I will be denied right off the bat even though I meet the requirements of having a BMI of over 40 with at least one co-morb ( I have 2: sleep apnea and arthritis). I wonder if they will let me slide by even though January is 3 months away... crossing my fingers...
