Blood Test!!!! I can't believe this! I had my blood drawn wens. because I was having WLS on the 21st, WAS is the key word. My blood work came back with HPYlori and I have to be on antibiotic for 10 days. I wasn't able to get this precription at Walgreens because I don't have 212.00 laying around. So, I will have to make an appt. at the Community Health Care so that I can afford the medicine. My surgery has been bumped to the 28th of Sept. This test is done by my Doctor before surgery,so that it can be cleared before surgery. Now I know why I have been feeling nauseated, sever pain at times, stomach bloating and very gassy. Gees how gross!! I'm so gratefull that they check for HPYlori because now I know what's wrong. I looked this up on the net and this can cause cancer, gum desease, ulcers, bad breath ect... I've been complaining about some of these symptoms for a long time and not one doctor check for this, until Dr. Hunter. What an awesome doc. I'm happy I didnt come down with the bad breath too! I encourage people to look this up just to be on the safe side. SIWL,Tee

I had this too, but mine was tested for 6 weeks before my date -- whew! Anyway, I didn't do any research the prob just took the meds for it. Wal-Mart charges $300 for prevpac! I thought that the antibiotic magically cleared up some *un*related symptoms (gum and breath issue)! Duh. Sooo sorry that your date was pushed out, Terry. That stinks! I have no doubt it's for a good reason. But that doesn't make the wait or disappointment any easier! Nan

Gosh Terry, sorry! At least they're on top of it, I can imagine that wouldn't be a good thing going through surgery! Hope you heal soon!
