Residency program at the University of WA - plastic surgery
I was just wondering if anyone has gone through the residency program at he university of WA hopsital for plastic surgery? I heard that it's a lot cheaper if you go through this program. I have an appointment on July 13th, 2010 for my first plastic surgery. I had a friend that told me that one of the doctors told her that she couldn't go through the residency program. I was just wondering what the process was.
Thanks for your help,
Kathleen
Hi,
Can you tell me what the process was like? Did you just call and make an appointment or did you have to get a referal? How long did it take to get an appointment? How long after your appointment was your surgery? Was the after care covered in the price? Anything else we should know....lol???

Hi Holly,
I'm in the process of gathering info for an extensive upper thigh lift probaby next summer. I called the U and got info from a nice man. I'm away from home right now or I could give you more info. The quote I got for the thigh lift was about $5200.00. From a private surgeon in Bellevue it was about $14000.00. Quite a difference.
I was told to call in January when I was about 6 months from wanting surgery. The consult is $250.00. Credit card billing can be used also. I plan to get "flyer miles" and then pay it off right away. I'm saving money from my part time job and I start drawing SS next March. That will be a gift to me.
Hope this helps. I have the contact numbers at home but if you call the UW and tell them you want to speak to someone in the Residency program and that you want info on plastic surgery they will be able to help you.
