Hi Sandi,

Doing much better each day. Finding I need to have a cup of something warm each morning to "loosen" my band.  It seems very tight in the morning and loosens up with something warm.

All is going well on my end.  Trying to deal with the mental hunger and find when I am truly needing to eat not eating because my brain says its time. It's a challenge and I think always will be but once I reign the beast in....we will come to an understanding.

Right now keeping busy and doing lots of walking, but still trying to heal. Yesterday was a day of rest, the body said so :)   Each day my energy level increases tremendously although I know to still take it easy.

Hopefully each day will continue to get easier.

Kristine, glad to hear you're doing well and awesome job on the walking!

I didn't have the problem with the band feeling tight (I don't think) after surgery but it sure felt like someone punched me in the gut.  It felt that way for about a week (or so)...just was hard to take a deep breath (maybe from the swelling?).

I bet the head hunger thing will get easier for you as time goes on.  I'm newly banded (4/24/09) and I can tell you that I was a junk food junkie....mostly sugar junk and I did allot of eating when not hungry... just because something sounded good.  I no longer eat or crave sugar.  The only sugar I get is what's in Yoplait lite yogurt and things of that nature.  Let me tell you, this in and of itself is a true miracle!  I LOVE my band

Keep up the great work!   It's so motivating to see other's stats as they continue on the journey.... please keep us posted on your progress!

Take care,
Sandi
