Then you have to sign up for accomplish weight management which will be a year of nutrition counseling which is really very helpful especially after the surgery. They want you to lose at least 5-10 percent of excess weight (I had to lose 12 lbs, I ended up losing 15), they will give you a surgery date, schedule you for the 4 hour class and a pre op appt with surgeon. The surgery will be at Overlake Hospital next to Bellevue Medical Center Group Health. It is an awesome hospital.
Start by going to support group monthly.
I never had PEBB, just through employers, but now i am an employee of Group Health. I had Dr. Landers. He rocks.
Yep, i had co morbities, sleep apnea, high chloestrol, diabetes, arthritis, but most of them has improved and i am reducing meds.
The NUT counseing starts about 8 weeks before your surgery date and lasts a year after your surgery.

I have not had a good experience at all. I weigh 340, have high BP, diabetic, sleep apnea, PCOS, metabolic syndrome, arthritis+. They still found a way to deny me. My doc explained I have tried several diets, still NO!! My GH does have the benefit. So, I dont get it. My Doc said they always say NO?? Tips would be great. Do you know how I can help myself?

I delivered 6 weeks early a 5lb 15oz lil boy:) After spending 2 months on bed rest in the hospital and Mason spending 11 days in the NICU, we're both home and doing great! Mason is getting bigger and gaining weight like he should. Now it's my turn to lose this weight! It's tough to get back on the band wagon...I CAN do this!
