Pathways in WAITING check in!

Hi, I am just checking in on those waiting for their pathways classes at Madigan. I am STILL patiently (well, not so patiently) waiting for the CALL!

I had my first orientation type appt. on March 5th...and just waiting away! I am thinking September I should get my call to begin Pathways, if I am lucky!

Just wondering who else is waiting.

I would love to go to some support meetings in the meantime, but I am WAY over here in Marysville, so it is a 2 hour drive each way. I am thinking about it anyway though.

Hey Lisa---
   Hang in there ---it felt like forever to me----I finally got my appointment with the surgeon but no surgery date yet---hopefully I will know when I leave his office on June 1st!

  Anyway back to you--have you called the patient advocate yet to see where you are on the list and what number they are on????  She was very nice and even told me "Feel free to check in once a month to see where we are"---that totally shocked me---cause every one else has a wait your turn patiently and quietly attitude over there!

Hi Ladies...keep hanging in there.  There is a cool support group on Thursdays from 5-7pm if it's hard to get to the 3pm one on Tuesdays. 

It's a crazy world this weighloss surgery and Pathways process.

Hi Rebecca, how are you feeling?? Any tips? Can you tell me how the differences are from the VBG?? Just wanting to know what I can expect.

And most importantly, do you have any regrets or anything???

It has been a bit since I've been on here, but am still waiting on the call as well. I went to the first orientation in February so maybe we will get called together.

Have you had a chance to check what number you are? I called last month and if I figured it right, I should hopefully get the call in June.

I went to a couple support group meetings and they were very informative. Just listening to their stories and what to expect really helped. I hope you are able to find a good support group in your area too.

I've called a few times, but just get her voice message. I left a msg. today, so we will see! 

Turtle, I hope you are right, cuz if you are June, then I should be July! It would be so nice to go through this togehter! I hope somehow we get to!!!!

Does anyone know how long the pathway courses are before sugery...an estimate based on those who have done it all?????

I'm waiting too!!! Started in May- but the said at the orientaion that the surgeries are slow in the summer so I'm at a loss of where I will be-
