Kinda nervous - but - not really
New member here!
I've started my WLS journey back in Mid March/Apr of 2009. I'm going through the UW and have my Nutrition and Pysch Eval this coming Thurs (5/21). I'm kinda nervous - but - not really. Does that make sense? All that is left is to meet with the NP and have a date set!
I can't wait for the actual surgery date - hoping by Aug/Sept. Still trying to imagine my life 100lbs or more lighter. I'm so excited about that!
To be able to have energy - be treated with respect and not looked at like a fat chick!

Welcome Jennifer,
First you'll do fine... but i understand the nervousness... those of us post op have all been thru it. It's like going thru a new door and not knowing what's on the other side... yet we can "see" what's thru the door and want to be there, but what challenges / obstacles will we have to overcome? You'll do it.
Why aug/sept... do you have a 3 month / 6 month diet plan to have to follow? just curious.
Again, welcome to OH... :)

Thanks for the welcome!
I'm so glad to have found this forum for WLS patients both pre/post op.
After meeting with the Nutrionist and getting my Psych eval - I have to meet with the NP - and I've been told her schedule is very full right now. As far as a pre diet plan - I only have to loose 5% of my current weight - which is very attainable! My employer has really good insurance (thank heavens!) and the approval will go right through. Being a pt of the UW - has been great. From my PCP to the Bariatric Surgeon - this process has gone pretty smoothly. I've heard horror stories and crossing my fingers that everything will continue to go well.
