PreOp Testing

I got to thinking about PreOp testing? Now has anyone got to do their PreOp testing anywhere else besides the Hospital the Physician works out of? I was thinking it would be nice if I was able to get all the referrals from my Surgeon and do my testing here in town instead having to take another day off from work and make the 3 ½ hour trek to Virgina Mason. I will regardless but didn’t know if it was an option!

I did all my pre-op testing here, just need to find doctors willing to work with your surgeons office. The office may even have recommendations for you.

 Hi Nichole! You can do your preop testing anywhere. I did most of the preop testing through my primary medical group. At the last minute, they had me do a cardiac workup (cause I'm OLD!) The surgeon recommended someone for me, so I was able to get in quickly, and not have my surgery delayed.

I live in Yakima and had all my pre-op testing done at Sunnyside Hospital. The only prblem I had was getting them to send my results to him. I went to medical records and got copies of everything then gave them to my surgeons office. I did have my EGD done by my surgeon (Dr. Srikanth) at St. Francis.
