Good morning everyone.

I hope all had a great holiday yesterday!!

Now I know this question might be posted in the wrong place and I hope that I don’t offend anyone. (I apologize to those I do in advance). My mother is having open heart surgery 12/8. She is having 3 heart valve repaired and a stent put in. The Dr. says that this very serious (more than a by-pass), and I am begging anyone who can to prey, and or add her to your church circle of prayers. My brother belongs and all are preying, I just thought that the more the better. BTW, her name is Audrey.

I just had my LBS on the 21st and feel okay, kind as if you have been kicked in the belly. Moving is getting easier, but then again I have pain meds. It makes everyday tasks a little tolerable; such as getting dressed, stuff likes that.

I am so glad I have my lap band, but a catch 22 w/ my mother’s surgery...much unexpected!! I told her I felt guilty because my surgery, I elected to have, she on the other hand, does not have a choice.
The Power of + Thinking + Prayers can do wonders

Thanking all in advance,

Jennifer

My mother in law recently had a similar kind of surgery and has come through with flying colors.  It is a big surgery but preformed pretty frequently.  I think the hardest part is the inability to do things for yourself for so long.  Are you able to get a home health nurse to come in and assist?
The biggest thing for her right now is to stay healthy for the surgery, anyone sick needs to stay away.

I'll say a little prayer for her right now.

Hi Jennifer,

I absolutely will pray for her and the medical team.  And while I'm at it, for you too.  It won't be long and you'll be feeling great and loving your band.

Good luck,
--Shelly
