Sliming and PB's: X-Post

I have a question.  I thought sliming and PB's occurred when one had eaten too fast or something had gotten stuck.  Well, I've had them happen on both those occasions, but 99% of the time it occurs when I'm drinking something cold.  Which makes it pretty damn hard to get my liquids down (I like my liquids cold and my....well, never mind.)
Anyway, I don't understand what the basic mechanism of all this is.  I thought it was a mechanical obstruction, but since solids go down fine, and the only problem I have is with cold liquids, obviously there's something here I don't get.

LOL  Sounds like you have a case of grouchy pouch to me.  I am not sure about bandsters but some RNY peeps have a hard time with temps for a few months and then it eases up.  I am going to assume with time it will ease up with you too.  Do you like hot tea?

Unfortunately I don't care for hot--or cold--tea.  Been trying all my life, but it still tastes like watered down water that leaves my teeth feeling icky.

It's pretty common because the cold makes our insides contract and that tightens the band. You are still pretty new and may still be swollen from surgery, it should get better as time goes on. However it may get worse again farther out. I just started having to be real careful with cold stuff, I pretty much have to either take baby sips or just let things warm up some. I prefer things ice cold too but that just doesn't work anymore for me since my last fill that put me at 7ccs. I dislike being fat more, so I'm just learning to like my liquids however I can get them down.
