University Of Washington

Has anyone here had their surgery at the University of Washington ? If so what surgeon did your surgery? I am trying to get surgery through them thanks

I am having my surgery at the University of WA on the 29th of this month. My surgerons are
Andrew Wright, M.D. & Brant Oelschlager, M.D.

I also know that one of my friends is having her surgery on the 28th of this month at the same hospital. There is also three other people I know of that are on OH WA weight loss forum that just got done having there surgery done at that hospital. There is also a monthly support group that meets at the hospital.

 I had my surgery there Sept. 3rd.  I am so impressed with the whole process there!  My surgeon is Dr. Patch Dellinger.  What an amazing guy!  He is so warm and compassionate, which is so important when you're feeling very vulnerable.  Highly recommend him.

Good luck and come to the support group.  We all meet the third Wednesday every month and it's starts at 6:00 in the mail Cafe.

Im Sunny, I have WLS on 10/28/08. I started my process on July 2nd, 08 with the intake phone interview. I had to do only 2 appts. I did the other pre-op tests before going to seminar on 2/21/08.  All together this time it took 15 months from phone interview to surgery. It all depends on the doctor you are assigned.  My doctor is Dr. Osheslager. (sp?)
See if you can do some the pre-operative testing before you meet with surgeon. It could save you time. Good luck.
