You're right.  This is a great site and I have learned so much already.

I don't mind if you pray, I welcome it.  I'll be praying to.

Welcome Scott!
I'm a fellow lurker, but now I'm on the looser bench, where you will be very soon.  I just had my surgery a few days ago!

Looking forward to seeing you around.

I've enjoyed reading your posts, you had many of the same questions I have and asked them first.

Scott,

Glad to see you made it over here!  It won't be long now till your surgery.  Dr Sebesta is a wonderful surgeon, I doubt you will have any complaints with his surgical skill!  I am trying to remember you from the support group but I am terrible with names. Sorry.
Any last minute questions before the big day?

Good luck!

I blend in well and don't talk much, so I am not surprised you can't put a face with the name.

I really can't think of any questions, most have been answered.  I went shopping for some stuff today and I understand why some were asking about protein, the numbers don't seem to add up, at lease for the first few weeks.

No for the first few weeks the #'s don't add up.  Your main concentration the first week will be getting in enough liquid to stay hydrated.  Don't worry it will come with time!

I wish I could have gotten the surgery in earlier in the summer, just because my wife works at a school and it would have been easier for her.

Good luck on your surgery, it's coming up fast!

Scott,
Are you worried about her getting time off just for surgery or after as well?
My hubby took two weeks off for mine, start the second week tomorrow, and I have to say that I really have not needed him.  It has been my daughter that needed him more.  We homeschool and she has lots of activities that she has to be taken to.  So.. if you don't have kids, you might find that you will be fine with her at work.  I'm not sure how others felt about having somebody there all the time, but I could do with out   Just be sure not to over do it!

Good luck.  Hope to hear from you soon!
