Surgery coming up

I have been lurking for quite awhile.  Since I am scheduled for Wed, Sep 24, I thought I'd introduce myself. 

I just finished talking to the anasthesiologist, doing the lab work, etc.

Hi Scott and welcome! Congrats on your new birthdate, looks like you are in good hands according to who your surgeon is

Let us know when you get home and feel like posting so we know all went well.  Also, when you feel like it, we have a support group at Madigan that meets in the Casio room (downstairs in the basement, right behind the shopette) every Thursday from 5-7.  Everyone is always very helpful and supportive.

I've been to the support group a couple of times.  I lurk there as well, ha ha.  Not much of a talker.  It's interesting hearing other people's stories.

I hope so - that is one of the reasons I'm doing this!  It would be great to be one of the people who walks out no needing the meds, etc.

Hey, Scott - glad you decided to come out from lurking!  :)  Wishing you all the best with your surgery - I know they've had great results out at Madigan so I'm sure you're in very good hands...  Take care and post here anytime...  This is a wonderful site for support, friendships, questions, etc.

Thanks.  Reading peoples experience at Madigan on this site is one of the reasons I decided to have WLS.  I was a little reluctant to have someone rearranging my stomach, etc.
