There's nothing like a thin, athletic person to hold the rest of us in judgment and not have a CLUE  about obesity and WLS:  if we'd just get off our lazy asses we'd be trim and athletic like him.    Tell your DH and son you need "orthostatic" blood pressures.  They'll probably know what to do.  And do add some salt to your diet.

When I had problems with dizziness    the culprit was not enough potassium...    have you had your bloodwork done?  are they ok?  just my 2 cents

I've been reading these boards for a long time and there are many here who have this problem.  They call it postural hypertension?( or hypo ??)  Most are told to increase the salt in their diet.  The problem is well still have all the arteries, veins and capillaries that we had as a large person, and we were using them harder then, from what I can surmise they lost some of their elasticity, kind of like our skin, and don't push fluids around as well, hence the quick position changes = dizzy.  More salt will make you retain more fluids=more volume to push.  Sorry if you couldn't understand my rambling.
As far as the calories go, are you done loosing? If you are done you can try and increase your calories bit by bit (50-100 a day, every other week),you don't want to do it too fast, the slow rate of increase is to give you metabolism a chance to rebound, try and keep it in balance good healthy carbs (100 grams a day).  Or you can get a BMR rate test, you breath in this plastic thing for 10 min and it measures your CO2 and you can learn how many cals your body is using a day.
Now most is this I have learned from watching others on this site, who have attained their goals and to me are wonderful successes because to me if you want success in your own life you model it after one who is where you want to be!

I have this , too . But , not as much since my doctor said I was deficient in Potassium & upped it . I assumed it was just my blood pressure , which runs low . Or , my Hypoglycemia , which has gotten more unpredictable since WLS . I'm not dehydrated . Like I said , once I started taking the awful liquid potassium , these spells got better . It sounds like yours occur just like mine . BTW - not all carbs are bad . White carbs are evil . lol . They still haunt me & sometimes catch me . I'm no nutrition expert . I believe what were looking for are complex carbs , as they digest slower . Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong . I won't be offended .

You're correct - it's the complex carbs that we benefit from - any carbs in simple form, i.e., white flour, sugar, etc.,  should be avoided as much as possible as they will initially raise your blood sugar level, then drop it quickly, leading to fatigue and an increased craving for more of the "bad" carbs, which can send your into a downward spiral.

Carbs in themselves are not evil - just select the ones your body will benefit from, i.e., fruits, nuts, veges, whole grains, etc.
