Seattle / Federal Way Support Groups?

Hi all,  I just had RNY about 2 and a half months ago and am very interested in meeting others that have had WLS in my area...are there any support groups near Federal Way or Seattle that wouldn't mind gaining a new member?  I also want to introduce myself to this forum.  I am 27 years old, live in Federal Way, work in Seattle.  No kids yet and not married.  I had surgery in Mexico due to my insurance not covering it here.  Anyhow, would love to get to know you all.  Looking forward to it!

Hi, I host a support group in Auburn. Our next meeting will be on May 13th. at 6:30 pm. We will have a guest speaker talking about reading your labs. We always do taste testing. We would love to have you join us, Call for  directions (253) 939-8865 Merrilou.

Hi - There are several groups around and we'd love to see you there!  I would definitely recommend Merrilou's group in Auburn.  Vitalady in Puyallup also has a group that meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month and the next day Wednesday (usually it's the second Wednesday, but it depends what day the month starts on...).  I live in NE Tacoma and go to both Merrilou's group and Vitalady's.  Both of those groups have a variety of ages that attend.  Merrilou's is a smaller, more personal group.  I think the group at St. Francis meets at noon on the first Tuesday of the month.  I don't know anything about the group at Virginia Mason.  There is also a new group that just started that meets on the 3rd Monday of the month in the Summit View area (near Puyallup).  I didn't make it to their first meeting in March, but plan to be there in April.  I believe there is also a group that meets at St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma on the 3rd Monday as well.  So you have lots of options!  I personally feel that the more groups I can get involved in, the better.  I know I can use all of the support I can get!!    Hope to see you at one of the meetings!!

Thank you very much!  I am really glad to hear that there are so many groups going on and will definetely join a couple of them at the very least.  Now I just need to gather specifics on days and times.  Thank you for all of the info and I will see you both soon I hope!
