Isopure

Ok ladies, for those who can't stand the smell and taste of the shakes, try you some Isopure!  The commisary has it for those who live close, but I actually went in search of the ohyeah protein wafers and found them and Isopure at the Vitamin Shoppe in Olympia.  I only bought one at first, the blue raspberry, but they had the pineapple, orange banana one on sale for half off, so grabbed one of them too.  I am thankful I found something I can stomach because the shakes are just too much for me, at least right now.  If you haven't tried it, give it a try, I'm glad I did.

Those were the only thing I could stand post-op, I hate loathe and detest the protein shakes. I tried several kinds and they were all disgusting. Now I'm able to get all my protein from food, thankfully. When I get a fill and have to do liquids I get most of my protein from lentil soup that I thin down with chicken broth, no more protein shakes for me!

How much did they cost over there? I am curious to try that blue rapsberry.  I like the Grape Frost, and it's been the only protein I can get down...but it takes me forever to drink. I want to find other flavors...if I like them, I will see if the commissary can special order them for me - since they're only two-something there.

They are a lot more at the Vitamin Shoppe than the commisary.  Our commisary has plenty of them, the apple, grape, punch (cant remember full name), but the pineapple, orange, banana one was half price, so it was 1.79 each.  They do have a nice shop though as far as vitamins and such and also protein bars, since they have the ohyeah wafers. How I have been getting a bottle in is I start my day out with putting some in a cup with ice, and sip on it while I check email, play some pogo etc.  Then I wait a little while and have whatever it is I am doing for breakfast, then after 30 min, have some water or crystal lite.  I drink like half the bottle in a cup though before eating anything for the day, and last night I finished it well after dinner then finished the day with some water.  I also keep water on my night stand at night as well.  At first I had a hard time getting in a full bottle during the day, but it's getting easier since I space it out and I think it helped me putting it in a cup.
