FRAN???

When is your appt with Dr. Carter? I know you told me, but I can't remember...  There's a gal here, Brandy...she's got Dr. Carter too...I hear he's doing Laparoscopic now too... How ya doing?

I found my old message from her and her appointment is on the 19th, so yay, soon!  Can't wait to hear her date!

Hi ladies, Yep, Shelley is correct........I see Dr. Carter on the 19th. I have my list of questions and concerns ready to go.  And after reading Brandy's post about her surgery date being on March 31st, I don't have any hopes of having mine before that time. So I will be asking to have it around the 2nd week of April. This way my work can send me to a convention on April 6 - 9th in Las Vegas!! I really didn't want to miss the convention (or Las Vegas), so all is good! I'm always here lurking around watching you both and reading everyones posts. Have any of you gone to the "WLS Regrets" board? That's a bit daunting, to say the least.

I am sooo sorry if my post about the date and how far the books are. I didn't mean to pu a damper on anyones day. I didn't even think about others who are going to Madigan as well. But Fran, I would gladly trade a last trip to Vegas for a week postponed surgery. Sounds like fun and have a really really great time! Brandy

Oh, you didn't put a damper on my day......you actually just let me know that it was probably okay to book our reservations to the convention. I thought that on Tuesday (the 19th) I would hear that my date was going to be like a week before the convention, then I wouldn't be able to go. I don't mind waiting until after the Las Vegas trip for my surgery. This trip will be like a last Hurrah!! (But I have to remember it's a BUSINESS trip!!!) So after I meet with Dr. Carter I will post my new "birthday".  Oh......Brandy, is Dr. Carter going to do laproscopic RNY on you? I know that is not his preference.

 

Hey Fran...also, if your desire is for your appointment to be after your convention, then by all means TELL them that.  When they gave me my surgery date, they asked me when it would work for me...I said - As Soon As Possible!  So for you to say - my preference would be to have my surgery sometime after this date.  They'd be fine with that!  And how fun!  I wanna go to Vegas..I have never been before!

Fran, Yes Dr. Carter is doing lap RNY on me. I told him how strongly I wanted it and that I absolutely 100% didn't want an open and he agreed there was no reason for me to have an open. He just is the open specialist so he always does opens. Hope that helps, Brandy
