Newbie...Got a date!

Hello Everyone,

I have been reading the boards for alitlle while. I just got my date for my surgery. I am so excited!! It will be on the 28th. I will start my pre-op diet on the 14th. I can't believe I was approved and it is right around the corner! I am scared and happy at the same time. I hope to get to know everyone in my new journey. Kathy from Everett

Hi, Kathy - Welcome and congratulations on your surgery date!! You are right - it is just around the corner and you will be surprised just how quickly that date arrives. Being scared and happy at the same time are pretty common (and normal) emotions at this time. I had my surgery on December 6 and had lots of second thoughts and other emotions particularly after starting the 2 week pre-op diet... I want to wish you lots of success on this journey - just remember that everyone's journey is unique. If you see posts or profiles where someone loses 50 pounds in the first month and you find you don't have those same results - don't despair! Oh...How exciting!! Congrats on your surgery date!! We will be thinking of you....and I'll save a spot here on the loser's bench. Hey, where are you having it done at? you are so close you are like a neighbor! :-) It's just nice to see someone else from the same area. lol Keep us updated! Cristina OOPS....I just read who your doctor is. LOL he is at the same clinic that I go to.....PSSC. I have dr. Landers. Wow...really close neighbors! Congrats

Congrats! This is truely an exciting time for you as your journey begins. You'll feel every range of emotion there is so just enjoy the ride and we'll all be here for you. You are beginning a brand new life. Best of luck!
