The Wish Center

Does anyone have any information or advice In regards to the wish center. I paid a lifetime support fee and have never gotten any support. I have since switched to a new dr. and have very close followup because i have an ulcer and i'm anemic. I would like to have my lifetime support money back. Are you kidding me? It's not like I have money rolling out my you know what. If anything I have more expenses now than i did before. There has to be something we can do. Is there and attorney for the patients in on this?

I don't know of any attorney's representing the patients. It was even on the news and in the papers. There is even a member on this board that was self pay and they took her money and never called to schedule the surgery. When she contacted them she found out they closed their doors and kept her money. She was the one that went to KOMO 4.

Boy I guess I don't really have anything to complain about. Did she ever get her Surgery and are they going to honor the fact that she already paid now that Dr. Alporavich is back in Business? I just called them for all my records so that I have them for the other Dr. I'm seeing. We will see if they follow through with that. If you ever hear anything else please just let me know. Michaelle, I believe the story mentioned here is mine. I ended up getting all my money back and then when Dr. Alperovich reopened an office under Valley Medical I rejoined them and got my surgery on the 5th of this month (at a cheaper price even). They have been more than wonderful to work with me and more than apologetic about the Wish Center closing. The Wish Center was owned by private investors that had no interest in its clients only money and what they did was horrible...not only to us patients but to the staff as well. I would recommend you contact Dr. Alperovich for your records and to discuss getting your money back or some arrangement. I would be surprised if they wouldn't work with you. I'm glad you got your surgery. I have requested my records and I have a Call and an email into Dr. Alperovich's office. I do hope i get that money back I would use it towards my Tummy Tuck. How long ago was your surgery? How do you feel? I feel good down 130lbs and holding. Love to go shopping ,now never did before. Thanks for the positive responds. Hi Michaelle, We have had a few Wish Center patients come to our Duodenal Support group meetings which are monthly and free. ALthough we do have DS focus, Dr. Rabkin who attends half of our meetings has extensive experience with RNY too and has been very willing to offer support to those who have lost their support groups. He will be there this month when we meet on Saturday. If you would like to come you would be very welcome. Here is the lowdown.
