I am banded!!

Elizabeth-- wanted to check in on you and see how you're doing today? Handling this awful heat alright? The liquid vicodin makes me a bit itchy too, but not so bad as it is for you (Haven't needed to take any benedryl). I too had some gas pain the first night in my shoulders, it was so weird, it made my arms tingle, but then went away the next day. I have the normal bloaty feeling, and I keep burping. Trying to get my protien in, nad trying to slowly work my way through a glass of water (sip sip sip) since it's so hot out. My port site is KILLING me. The other incisions don't hurt though. Have you taken the banage off the port site yet? My post-op instructions say to do so on day 2 (today, i think) but I'm a big baby, and the whole area hurts so much I can't imagine taking the bandage off! Michelle

Michelle- Sorry to hear of the pain! Most of mine is gone now, the port area is pretty sore but I don't notice it unless I'm trying to walk quickly, lifting my son, and sneezing- oh GAWD do not sneeze!! All my incisions look great I replace bandaids on them daily, since the first 24hrs. Most look completely healed up already. i am not hungry- its the weirdest thing! I think I must be pretty swollen, I have been drinking CL and vitamin water all day. Had one lil cup of SF orange jello. Need to go shopping tonight if dh ever gets home from work! This past weekend we were gone having fun all day Saturday at the MS picnic then Sunday went out to the Olympic Game farm to see the buffalo and stufF pretty fun!! today I cleaned the house, yes cleaned my entire house!!! my dh isn't helpful except doing dishes once every 3 days...ugh! and I've been making all the meals for days. Really sucks to make all my great food and I don't even get one bite!! wahhhh!! oh well, I'll take skinny any day! My clothes are already feeling bigger, my bra strap- the one that goes around your chest is now clasping at the tightest clips rather than the loosest ones!! so cool! thanks for asking! keep me updated with how you are doing too!!
