I am banded!!
Well I had my surgery this morning
everything went perfectly well! I've been home for about 2 hours now. Drinking some chai tea (bag kind), CL, and just had some jello. Not really any pain. Just a little uncomfortable. I took my vicodin syrup after I got home. Had a little bit left shoulder pain come and go but its not that big of a deal. I feel groggy and a bit out of it but not enough to sleep- i can never sleep when the sun is up. I am just shocked how well it really went. Dr.Montgomery was super sweet and said my surgery was really easy and fast, no problems. The nurses were all wonderful. i don't seem to have any problems drinking or eating jello or my diet snapple popsicles (very good!).
the only strange thing after surgery was the blurry vision that is still kinda there, just normal stuff, but never had it before with any of my other surgeries.
So I'll will talk with you all later! back to resting
I'm going to be a LOSER now too!!!!

Sammy Sue-
the gas is from the air they put in your belly that gets trapped and finds its way up there. walking around and heat packs help it go away. i've had it before with another lap surgery for GYN stuff. and yes its really weird.
Thank you everyone!! I cannot believe I am and moving around so much. Had to make the kids dinner tonight and we ran to the grocery store for some more supplies (dh drove of course). The pain meds are making me a bit woozy and I'm a little achy but bascially just fine. We'll see how tomorrow goes!
I really wish I had the problem of only being able to sip little amounts and be fulll all day like most people for the first 2-3 days but I was starving hungry 2 hours after surgery. and still am! I've had 2 SF popsicles, 3oz chicken broth, 6oz of tea, 6oz of CL, and am now working on some very thinned out tomato gorganzola soup (YUMMY!). but my stomach is just growling loudly! I keep passing my dd's fig newtons sitting on the counter that I definitly can't have, but dang they look so good!!!

Hi Elizabeth , I am glad you're doing so well . When do you get to have the band filled ? Or has it been filled already ? I can't believe you went to the store . lol . I've had lap procedures done too . The gas is the pits , until it finally disapates . I remember laying down was the worst . I hope you do allow yourself some rest . Take care . Kathy
Thanks again!
I won't get a fill until around 6wks post-surgery. I wasn't able to sleep the entire night, and I am dang tired! the darn vicodin syrup keeps me very wired and extremely itchy- I took benadryl 3 times last night with barely any relief. I am just trying 1500mg of tylenol today but wow all the incisions are hurting today. Laying in bed wasn't a problem, after trying to sleep 3 hrs I came downstairs and rented a movie through on demand.
hopefully I can get some sleep today but now dh has to run into work over some computers/servers were shut off last night in some power outage.
