Hi all, There is a support group meeting this evening at Evergreen Hospital, Tan Room 100, at 7:00 PM. All are welcome, pre-op, post-op...it doesn't matter where you had your surgery. Here is the note I received via e-mail from our group facilitator, Sandy: Good Day to all of you! A personal invitation to join us tonight for group. Join us as we explore our personal journeys, the value and meaning of weight loss surgery. Support for everyone! Those contemplating surgery, those preparing for surgery, those who are recently post surgery, and those who are out 1 year or more. This group starts out for the first 45 minutes catching up with each other. We then split out in specialized groups to share our personal journey in relation to where we are at in this journey to a new life. Tonight's breakout sharing for those post WLS is: "What is it that makes us be challenged by food, How do we begin to honor our hunger and cope with emotions with out using food" Those who are new to WLS will meet to share what is working, gather suggestions to assist in the nutritional needs and emotional impact of WLS NOTE: Anyone, no matter where you are at in your journey can be a part of any of the 2 breakout groups... We hope to see you tonight for hopefully an exhilarating experience of sharing our renewal in life. Sandi Johnson, MSW Evergreen Healthcare
