Topic: Surgery date coming soon
I am so nervous. I am scheduled for 4/5/6. Is it common to have panic attacks when you are getting close?

Topic: Weight Loss Tracking Form
Hello Everyone,
I found a weight loss sheet online that I modified and made very useful. It tracks your weight loss and also shows you a graph and you can even print yourself a Certificate to Congratulate yourself on your weight loss.
It is in Microsoft Excel and is very easy to use. If you would like a copy please e-mail me at [email protected] and I will e-mail you a copy.
Thanks,
Dave

Topic: RE: FIGHT MEDICARE'S RULING ABOUT HOSPITALS!!
I fully understand where you are coming from. Yesterday 3/16 I had my FINAL appts. prior to surgery which is scheduled for 4/5. I was told by my surgeon exactly what you stated. Medicare denied my request for gastric bypass BUT I am going ahead and having it done as scheduled on the 5th of April. Seeing as I am on disability and Medicare, the surgeon and hospital has waived their fees. Thank God. I have been going thru various appts. for 3 months now and to hear this close to surgery that it was denied was quite shocking. Good Luck to you. I will definately contact your links with this concern. This is a life threatening disease and should be treated as such, not as elective surgery.
Topic: RE: WLS and antidepressants
I also take a number of anti depressants. I had my final appts prior to my 4/5 surgery. I was told that I will remain on them while hospitalized and nothing will change. After the surgery I will let you know if I have any trouble with any of them.
Topic: RE: Have you tried True Lemon?
It's listed under the manufactures name. Here's a link to it.

Topic: WLS and antidepressants
Does anyone have any experience with taking antidepressants after surgery? I am waiting to be scheduled for RNY and wondered if my dosages would need to be changed. How can you figure out if they will be absorbed differently (and need to raise the doses w/o waiting until I get depressed)? The surgeon was concerned by the number of antidepressants I was on, but this is the only combination that has consistently worked for me after years of failed attempts. Are any of you still on a number of meds after surgery and do you have trouble taking all of them?
Topic: RE: Have you tried True Lemon?
Tried to respond through your link. Couldn't find true lemon. FYI.
Topic: To tell or not to tell??
Hello All,
I'm just wondering if you chose to tell your co-workers prior to WLS. I work in a small office with me being the largest by 150lbs. They are nice ladies but I don't want to feel that I need their approval.
What did the rest of you do?
