A lot of patients go without because they don't know how to find someone.

Thanks everyone for you best wishes. I can tell you the waiting time is getting to me. I wish I was scheduled for Monday but I have to wait, I know. Andrea, good luck with Dr. Spaulding. She is a wonderful person and everything she may ask of you is only because she is worried about you the person. I've been waiting for about 10 to 11 months now and had scope after scope done but now she's ready and so am I. Keep really good records to the dietican because she does review everything. Since I had this done 15 years ago I can only eat so much and there was a problem because I couldn't eat enough food but I'm taking protein now in my drinks so she ok'd it for me. 3 Days to go...and I am counting! Hi All, I live in Montpelier and have just started the process of looking into Lap Band surgery. I've received a packet from Dr.Spaulding's office. I'm currently recording my food intake for three days and going for blood tests Monday. I will mail back the completed packet Monday. I discovered this year after working with Elena Ramirez that I have an eating disorder, disordered eating which has been at the root of my weight issues. I am learning to eat three appropriate meals and two well planned snacks. I see the surgery as a tool in my tool box, and I have hope that this combined with all my other new habits will allow me to lose my weight. I currently weigh 232 and am very unhappy about it. I also have Type II diabetes. I've actually never posted to a message board so this is new to me. It seems though like it will be another good tool. Reading about the other Vermonter's success is encouraging. Andrea
