Hey Vermonter's Who is Going to Dr. Spaulding?

Wow sounds like your ball is really rolling.  What type of insurance do you have?  Must not be Cigna, they take forever.  I ended up going with Forgione, as I did not want the RNY, I wanted the Lap Band. and Dr. Spaulding only does the bypass.  When did you do the Nutrition class?  Was that the two hour one with Ellen or one of her associates? Hope you get a great New Year's gift in the way of Surgery. Elizabeth

yeah i had my nutrition class in the 14th of november or was it the 12th sometime near then i have aenta and state insurance my class was with ellen i got to do one support group then i go see everyone meaning the nurse and spaulding and nacy on the 21st of  december they said ill get my date then for sure and when i asked if it would at least be by febuary they said oh yeah before then so hope it all goes well would be a great way to start a new year with a chance for a new life

I have not even thought about asking when my surgery date would be maybe I will, in Jan. when I go back.  I am actually hoping to have mine once my kids and I get done with school in June, this way I would be able to recover longer and better. Elizabeth

Dear Elizabeth, Merry Christmas Eve,  How are you and Heidi doing?  I tried calling and e-mailing Heidi about 3 weeks ago but I am not sure she ever received my messages.  Did both of you pass the test regarding hernias? I finally got my date...  It is January 7.   I start my liquid diet this week.  I am scared and excited all at the same time. Have a merry one. Jeanette

so i went to my appointment on the 17th it was and thaught i was getting my surgery date but had some set backs i gained back the 18lbs i had to loose mostly from quiting smoking but i got another appointment on the 10th and im 15lbs down again so 3 more pounds and its all good which i believe wont be a issue im doing well with diet and exercise how ever i hurt my back 3 days ago so the exercise is takeing back seat right now relying on diet alone for a few days so when i go back in hoping they submit the final paper work to my insurance which i thought was already done guessed wrong anyways it was a very disappointing visit the last time hope this time goes much better any way just thought id update everyone on the vermont forum and good luck and happy newyear to all

What a bummer, however you have to look at it as your trying to achieve to goal, giving up to addictions, food and smoking, not an easy task. But props for you for the comeback, so quickly.  Keep up the good work. I go back to see Deb and Ellen on the 14th.  I have achieved the 12 -13 lbs they wanted for me however due to Cigna health ins.  I have at least 3 more months on this stupid phys. directed diet. keep up the good work hope we both will get some good news soon. so today i went for another visit and they all cleared me to submit my insurance they said it takes 2-4 weeks should be all good i go on the 4th of feb for a scope check on my stumic then a 10 day liquid diet before my surgery there talking the end of febuary or the first week of march im so excited and nervous at the same time just a update hope all went well for you as well
