Hey Vermonter's Who is Going to Dr. Spaulding?

Well, I am back to work, I work for the Winooski School District its a very stressful job.  I really like being home for the summers with my two girls.  However if i could I would stay home with them permenently. I've lost 20pounds since june on my own, I've gone to see my PCP about Cigna's requirements of the 6 months diet and she sent me to a dietian.  Not much help so my hope is that i can get the 6 month requirement through dr. forgione.  Because my PCP just is not cutting it. even though I showed her their requirement sheet. I go see dr. forgione on Oct. 13 for the consultation. Sounds like your close to surgery? Hope all else is well with you. Elizabeth

Well  Its nice to have a good group to talk to in Vermont! Hello everyone, I am Heidi. I am currently in the process of geting the lap band and I am almost done with everything. Tomorrow, I have to go for an upper GI then I will have to go to another appointment with my doctor and nutritionlist. I have already done the psycologist so thats done :0) So after that I just have to do the support group and then I think thats it! I am so excited. Can anyone tell me where the support group is? I would like to get this done also!

The support group meets the first tuesday of every month between 5:00 and 6:00 pm at Dr. Forgione/Dr. Spauldings waiting room on the fifth floor.

Are you having lap band or other surgery.  It sounds like you are really close to getting a date for surgery.  I have two more appts. before they will submit the request to my insurance co.  Hopefully  surgery can be done by the end of Nov. or into Dec.  We'll see.  I would like to start the New Year out losing weight rather than making another resolution that I don't stick to.

Hey there, I am doing the Lap Band...I know what you mean about having it done before the new year. I hope that happens for me as well! Don't you just love Dr Forgione ( spelled wrong) I love him. He is so nice and really easy to talk to. Do you know if anyone can go to the support groups? Or do we have to be signed up under him? That is the only time that the support group is? What about the people that wor****il 5!  That sucks...anyway, no I havent done the three day liquid, have you? If so, what is it like? When do you have to do it. How far along are you into this? If you ever need anyone to talk to or vent, just give me a call, If you are interested I can give you my number. As far as I know that is only time for the Lap Band support group.  I had to take time off to get there on time.  I come from Middlebury. Do you have e-mail?  Mine is [email protected].  There are some things that I would like to say but not so openly on the blog.   I have had four appointments so far.  The fifth will be Thursday of this week.  Yes I have done the 3 day liquid diet.  It was challenging.  You do this liquid diet for 3 days between appt 4 and 5 or at least that is when I did it. hello all i thought id say hello i have dr.Spaulding she seems real nice only seen her once though i have done the phsyc thing and the nutrition class stuff and fifty other appointments and will be doing the group class dec4 th and then another appointment on dec 21 i should find out my surgery date then from what they say but who knows hopefully it would be a nice x-mas gift lol
