I am not on here near as much as I used to be due to so many life issues I just haven't had a chance to. At any rate I too am 5 years out from getting my sleeve done and over the last year I had increasing hunger and started to regain. It felt like it was getting out of control and the more I ate anything sweet or high carb the worse it got. Work with your surgeon and get it back under control before the weight gain increases. I felt too embarrassed at first to talk to mine about it but now am glad I did as she is helping me get back on track.

Lost 161 lbs since surgery, LOST 221 lbs overall so far!!
Late reply to this. The only thing that works for me for heartburn now is Alka Seltzer. I am pre surgery. But several years ago I found a method to take Alka Seltzer that lessens the bubbles. Fill the glass with ice and cold water, add Alka Seltzer tablets. It takes much longer to dissolve, but it is not as bubbly.
Yes I avoid all things pumpkin even if its healthy because its a trigger. I want to eat pumpkin foods, but I know if I did I would most likely overeat even through feeling full.
Good Morning!
Have you ever wondered why I ask all my patients to do a Pre Op Diet before getting their Gastric Sleeve?
Let me explain all about it here:

Want2beMe, sorry I missed this reply...I hadn't seen anything early Saturday and don't think I checked on Sunday! Pumpkin..so since pumpkin is a trigger for you, do you have to avoid everything that is related to it, even if it's a healthier item? I'm sorry, but I'm so new to this all, I have to ask questions!

Erin T., thank you for posting this reply to my question, it's very helpful. Every little bit of info that I can get at this time is fantastic since I'm such a newbie!
Happy Turkey Day to you and everyone!

Forgive me, I'm just about 4 years out so my list may encompass the first 6 months or so.
- Eggface Ricotta Bake
- Scrambled Eggs
- Cottage Cheese
- Greek Yogurt w/ Sugar Free pudding mixed in
- Smoked Salmon spread with laughing cow cheese
- Ricotta cheese w/ SF Vanilla Syrup and Cinnamon
- Premier Protein mixed with Decaf Coffee
- Buffalo chicken dip modified for post-op - either canned chicken or chicken shredded from the crockpot mixed with greek yogurt, ranch powder, cheese, and hot sauce.
- Egg salad made with a dollop of mayo and the rest greek yogurt. I often added everything but the bagel seasoning or cottage cheese to it.

Pumpkin. The smell and sight of pumpkin triggers cravings to want to consume it. I miss pumpkin bars, pumpkin pie, pumpkin waffles, pumpkin donuts, and pumpkin spice roll. I have strength just like everyone on this forum and will not cave into temptation.
Hi everyone,
With this next week being Thanksgiving, I'm wondering if I can expect any aromas to trigger bad behavior? I'm only going to be about 6 weeks out for this big holiday, so I'm not that far into heavier foods, but I have to admit that turkey day has always been one of my favorites. I just want to make a firm plan for myself to stick to. I'm doing ok with my plans day to day so far.
Happy Thanksgiving!
