Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Hello Jennifer, sounds like you have had a rough road I just had my surgery july 10 this year and boy the weight is falling off pretty good ,I started at 313 at my highest by my surgery date I was at 288 and now 252 so far, so i wish you the best. And remember we are here to support you through your process. Thanks Melinda
I would follow up on that. If you're having a revision due to problems with band, it could be covered.
Some people look for a revision because they gain all their weight back because they went back to old eating habits. Those revisions are not medically necessary.
Get clarification and work with your doctor's office. Appeal the denial.
Hope it works out for you.
2 weeks ago I was given a surgery date of 9/27/19.
This morning the surgeon office called to say they see my insurance only allows bariatric surgery once per lifetime!
Meanwhile I have spent countless hours and money for 3 months of classes and dr appointments. Not to mention work I have missed $$$.
I sobbed when told about this. I called insurance, who by the way told me i was covered when i gave the lapband code and revision. They have to review the phone call from April.
So it will be there word against mine. I'm heartbroken ???

Thank you! I just told my boss today. She seems really supportive. Just got out the vacation book and marked me off for the time. So I'm good to go!!
Hi, I am so happy for you, had my surgery on July 17th. You will be happy with yourself for making this decision.Good luck.
My last step will be the upper GI which I cannot have until 10/2... So it looks like I might end up having surgery in November or December... I guess there are advantages ...
This is really inspiring to read as a fellow sleever. Hope you stick around and continue to motivate us newly sleeved people!
