Hello there yes I've heard of this I've not done it as of yet. I'm trying slimfast the shakes and food snacks are very tasty. I'm 2 yrs post op .. lost 100 high 250 low 150 now 205 myserable!
Personally, I have had great success in the past reverting to liquid only for 4 days and then 800 calories after that point. Almost identical to what your dietician is saying, although not for 2 weeks. If I could hold out for 2 weeks though, I think it would go a long way to curbing the rampant sweet tooth I am dealing with. I always found after 3-4 days on liquid my stomach capacity was down to nothing.

I'm in Jacksonville, Florida. We are getting ready for Dorian. Are there any of you also in Florida or along coastal regions bracing for impact?
Good for you in avoiding the alcohol. However you might run into the same kind of situation again in the future, where people will want to pressure you into drinking or eating something off your plan. For me whenever I didn't want to drink, usually I could drink some sparkling water & just nurse that during the night. It looks just like sparkling wine. Walking around with a glass in my hand helped.
Maybe coming up with a list of things you can do or say will help you stay on track going forward. There was an old post that gave suggestions for situations similar to yours, but you might have to search for it.
Good luck going forward!

Zero is the correct answer.
A few times I had a glass of wine at a wedding or New Year's Eve and would be stumbling around in a daze.
Never plan to do that again.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Go cold turkey. Seriously, just turkey. Heat it up if you want. High protein, low calorie, no carbs. Nutritious, and very filling. Pounds will roll off, and you won't feel like you are starving.

I will avoid it moving forward too.
I successfully avoided it up till now but felt a bit of pressure from some of my guests to just have one drink to celebrate with everyone. Sounds kind of silly at my age to follow peer pressure but I did.
Because of the risk of transfer addiction, I chose to give up alcohol. It wasn't that important to me, so it was an easy choice to make.

Thank you so much for your advice. Pre surgery I was always fine with a glass or two of wine when socializing. I think I'll follow your lead though and abstain in the future. Getting to my goal and staying there is way more important to me than a glass of wine.
Your first reply was to me and not the OP - that's what gave me the impression you were not happy with the contrary advice I gave the OP.
I never wish anyone other than success, whatever path they choose. I know you have been trying to lose your regain for a while, which must be very frustrating.
As I said, I lost 60lbs last year, I understand what it takes to lose many years after surgery and I hope that your chosen method of liquid fasting works for you this time.
