Any vets I need advice
So I'm 12 years out from my sleeve surgery gave really maintained well my lowest weight was 137 I am now 145 I want desperately to lose the 8 lbs I have gained but just seems nearly impossible any advice is welcome ?
what does a days menu look like for you? Are you measuring and tracking?
many of us have to drop calories down to 600-800 to lose.
Hi there thanks for the reply you are correct I know I need to cut my calories way back -
my usual day looks like scramble egg or fruit for breakfast - tea
lunch - 1/2 chicken salad sand and Caesar salad
tea
dinner - fish veggie or chicken veggie
I do drink wine I need to cut that out
wine is pure sugar and totally empty calories. Stopping that may be all you need to do to lose.
fruit is also pure sugar and I would stop that and eat meat with the eggs.
leave off the bread as Nd eAt more chicken salad.
leave off the veggies at dinner unless the are very low carb ones and eat more meat.
I don't have any advice other than what's already been given, but I just wanted to say that I can relate. I also want to lose eight lbs (I'm now four lbs "overweight", according to the BMI chart). It's really tough when you're normal - or slightly above normal - weight. I used to roll my eyes at normal weight or slightly overweight women who complained about how hard it was to lose five or ten pounds. Now I get it...
Don't get caught up in what BMI charts say and remember, this is a marathon, not a race. Best way to lose weight in my opinion is to cut out snacking. Easier said than done. If you're craving a snack and are gonna cave, brush your teeth instead. That fresh feeling will kill the urge to snack. Also, go for a walk. Walks help a lot. Especially now that it's summer, it feels good to sweat it out. Keep on keepin on.
I feel you but unfortunately I have gained 60 lbs since 2015. Im 8 yrs post op. In 2015 I had a break up of 22 yrs, had knee surgery and stopped going to the gym 6 days a week, well.. That will do it. Im trying to lose it now. It is defiantly way harder this time and I feel like I've gained 200 back. It will always be a struggle but we have to over come that as hard as that is. If we change our mind set other things will change. Im working on going back to basics and I also joined WW clearly you only have 8 lbs so thats more doable on your own, just dont let it get anymore out of control bc Im telling you its not easy... My motivation for exercise is gone and trying to recover that is even harder. Good luck :)
