Acid reflux

I'm having problems eating food, or drinking water. I feel pain on my left side it feels like my stomach is blowing up. Today for dinner I had chicken noodle soup and I was fine. I guess I have to watch what I eat. I'm 6 years out I'm also finding I'm having trouble going poop. It feels like I need to and it's just gas. Has anyone felt this? I was supposed to have a revision a year ago but I was scared so I didn't.

If you're dealing with unexplained pain, you definitely need to talk to your doctor.

For bowel trouble, you may want to take something like Miralax to get everything moving.

I would say to go see your doctor. But by chance are you still measuring your food? Do you think you are overeating at times? Could that cause acid reflux? Have you tried under eating your sleeve? Meaning instead of 8 oz eating 5 oz at one sitting. Eating and then laying down could cause acid reflux too.

I honestly don't measure but as of lately I'm unable to eat without this problem. I've had acid reflux prior to the surgery. I had chicken brith for dinner and I was fine I feel it's some if the food or the protonix I'm taking it gives me nausea to where food grosses me out. I see my doctor today hoping for positive outcome.

Ok, I did a search on this site and some of the people who were experiencing problems like what your having said they had an ulcer on the lining of the stomach or enlarged spleen.

I have never seen anyone here say they had an enlarged spleen. Or anything about their spleen.

I searched using the key words"pain on left side" and on April 1, 2010, the following people answered:

kaynd, she had her vsg surgery in 09 and experienced the same pain.

Jp2lose, she had her vag on March 8, 2010 and suffered from pain on her left side. When she went to the doctors they told her her spleen was enlarged.

I saw my doctor and he ran some tests to rule out any issues with my insides. He said it wasn't my spleen the spleen is further back from the stomach.
