Time off and restrictions
There are instructions for bathing, resting, drinking, etc for right after surgery, but I'm guessing this isn't what you are seeking.
The only really universal physical restriction postop seems to be no lifting greater than about 10 pounds for 6 or 8 weeks, depending on the surgeon. There are a few other things that certain surgeons have, but that is the Big Restriction that pretty much everyone has.

The average seems to be about 2 weeks out of work for surgery, assuming your job isn't super physically demanding.
Aside from food restrictions, which your surgeon will provide, you'll likely be on lifting restriction. If memory serves, I wasn't allowed to lift anything over 10lb until 6 weeks post-op.

My only guidelines were to "take it easy" and wait several weeks before doing any vigorous exercise. Honestly, I was so sore for the first 3 weeks that it didn't even cross my mind.
