Gotcha! Acid reflux is fairly common after VSG. I would suggest calling your primary care doctor or your bariatric surgeon to get some suggestions. Metagest seems to be quite expensive for a reflux treatment, and your doctor may be able to suggest something that is more effective and/or cheaper.

It would also be a good idea to talk to your surgeon if you're dealing with reflux, as some people have it quite badly and it can cause serious health problems, including Barrett's esophagus-- a condition that can eventually lead to cancer. If it's particularly damaging, some folks opt to revise to RNY as the best way to manage it.
