I'm in onederland!
Given my recent thread about slow weight loss, I was very glad to see the scale this morning: 90.6 kg (199 lbs).
This time last year, after walking up a single flight of stairs at work, I would pretend to be interested in the notices on the bulletin boards. What I was really doing was trying to catch my breath! And when I walked any significant distance, my back muscles would tighten up because my body was thrown off balance by my belly. I'm so glad to say goodbye to those problems.
I also just did some calculations and realised that I had 60 kg of excess weight to start. I've lost 35 kg of that, which is more than half, so I've already beaten what the surgeon told me people lose on average from the surgery. I'm now really beginning to believe that I can get all the way to a normal, healthy weight. That little voice that says "you've always failed at weight loss and you'll fail this time too" is much quieter now.
