Hey guys,

I've seemed to hit my second stall in weight loss. My first stall lasted about 3 weeks and this stall ha**** the 3 week mark as well. Has anyone else hit a stall around 6 monthes out? Also 6 monthes out what's your typical weight loss? I've gone from 336 highest weight, 316 presurgery to 246 now so a total weight loss of 90 pounds from highest weight or 70 pounds from surgery. I just feel like I could be down further and fear that the weight loss is tapering out. Am I just paranoid? My goal is to atleast get to 170 pounds by the year mark which leaves me with another 76 pounds to lose and im stsrting to worry if im going to get there. What are your 6 month stories?

I agree with Gwen, posting a day's menu might help us help you:-) I do remember my stalls usually lasted anywhere from two weeks to a month. 70 pounds in 6 months is amazing, it is very normal for weight loss to slow down some. Keep vigilant, your goal is very attainable!

At the six month mark we can eat more. Check your serving sizes and track every bite if you want to reach your goal.

Stalls are absolutely normal. Keep following the rules and you'll surely start to see the scale move again, slow and steady.

Remember that as your body shrinks, you require fewer calories for basic survival, and therefore fewer calories to lose weight. It may be the case that you've hit your maintenance level where the number of calories you take in are equal to the number your body uses. To continue losing, you'll need to cut calories further; make sure you are weighing and measuring your food to log accurately.

I remember one day at around 6 or 7 months out I sat down to eat some delicious chicken salad and I ate and ate and ate and kept expecting restriction to kick in like it always had, but it never did. I ate the whole container. That's when I realized that I was all healed up from surgery and couldn't expect physical restriction to get me to my goal. Now at 2 years out I can easily eat as much as any other small woman, even pure protein.

Ok so my typical day looks like this

Breakfast - 1 low fat yogurt cup or a boiled egg on weekends

Snack - 1/4 blueberry or half a banana or some sort of fruit

Lunch - Typically I have 4 triscuit crackers with cheese and sliced deli chicken or yesterday's left over supper

Supper- my protein (chicken, fish, steak, pork) with a salad ( this is about 1/2 a cup)

Now I can never finish my supper so I'll fini**** the next day for lunch or my husband will eat it.

I have to work on my water intake.... after you guys mentioned it I realized I'm not as vigilant on that as I should be
