Lbs loss during pre op
hello everyone. Just curious as to how much weight you lost during your preop liquid diet. I am currently starting my preop liquid diet and have been going to the gym. Did you go to the gym while on the preop diet? And if so what did you do at the gym? Surgery scheduled for March 11,2019. Getting nervous but know this is the best thing ever.
Thanks
I started hardcore diet modification in January and had surgery in March. I lost 25 pounds total in those approximately 10 weeks.

It is the best thing ever! I had a pure liquid diet for two weeks (no food, not even veggies) and I lost 12 lbs. The first three days were heinous, but once the irritation and headache went away, I just sort of followed the rules and dealt with it, knowing that my liver was shrinking and that by being the smallest version of me (by no means small) and with no food in my stomach, I was setting myself up for a successful surgery! I did not work out during my two week pre-op diet.
My program required a 10 day liquid diet. I did not cheat once and I lost 13 lbs. I was not going to the gym or working out at all during that time.
The first few days were TOUGH mentally. Hang in there, it gets better and it's so worth it!!

I was on a 2 week pre-op diet. I was allowed 3 shakes a day plus 1 cup of vegetables. I ended up only drinking the shakes though. I lost 11.8 lbs (8.8 of which was from the first week)
It was a little challenging the first day or 2, but after that it becomes your new normal.

During the pre-op diet phase? No, not al all. I didn't do any real real exercise until about 6 weeks after surgery. Although I did start walking (veeeerrry slowly) Day 2 post-op, and have been ever since (much faster and longer now though :) )
