Would you do it again?
Well... in theory I'll never have to :)
But if you're asking if I was suddenly Gwen from 1/2014 with all the knowledge I have now, then yes, I would definitely make the same choice to have WLS.

In terms of making the decision if I had it to do over, I would make it 10 years earlier.
It has been one of the best life decisions for health, energy and restoration ever.

I searched the forum and read past posts but it's been a while since this was asked.
(I am in the pre-op phase and seriously questioning if I can/should do this)
Would you have the surgery again?
oh HELL, yes, once a year if that is what it took!

Of course, if you had to do it once a year it wouldn't be a very great surgical intervention!

no it wouldn't. But if was necessary, hypothetically, by the limits of the surgery, that is what I would do.

I'm honestly not sure. If I knew then what I know now about weight loss and maintenance, I might have had a chance at losing the weight and keeping it off without surgery.

Sometimes I have similar thoughts. People have asked me "couldn't you have done all of that without surgery?"
And.. maybe I could have. But I didn't. That's the important thing to me to keep in mind.
