Onederland!
For the first time in 20+ years I am below 200 pounds. I hit that milestone last week! I will be post-op 4 years in April. Last year I had a set back, in a couple of months I put on about 23 pounds. I was at a weight of 233 on February 1, 2018. I had been 200 pounds even in February 2017. I've spent the last year getting back in control of my diet and lifestyle.
This new achievement has renewed my outlook on losing more weight. I'm getting better at the basics again and am more dedicated in my exercise. I'm staying around 1100 calories with 60+ minutes of cardio 3-5 days a week. I've had success with this calorie amount, so I keep it up. My next goal is 189. I can do this, I'm feeling stronger, more confident in my ability to succeed and more active! The decision to have a VSG was the best one I have made for myself!
CONGRATULATIONS KARA!!
Like you, I had surgery in 2014 - my five year surgiversary is 5/14/19, and I am struggling to reach Onderland. I never reached goal - I let life interfere. I got down to 220, and have maintained for over two years. I then gained about 15 pounds. I've lost that and I'm working hard. It seems 218 pounds is the spot where I always struggle. I've been really committed for the past several weeks....weighed in at 237, and once I hit 218, the scale started to battle me. 218 one day, then 219.6 the next, then 218.8, then 217.4, then back over 218 the next day.
Like you, I will not give up. I set my goal at 175 -- will go lower if the scale cooperates with my hard work. But I am so frustrated -- I so want to be in Onederland!!!
So, congrats to you - and know that I'm working hard to catch up to you!!
